This morning I ran into a new knitter. I was knitting a lace project and her eyes were wide and bright with interest and she firmly stated that she would never be able to knit anything close to the lace cowl on my needles. I explained that although the lace pattern looks complicated, it is actually a series of simple and basic stitches strung together to create an intricate design. The new knitter explained that she currently had her very first project on her needles, but she was unable to bind off because it’s a skill she has yet to learn. Even my lace cowl requires a basic bind off, so I created this video for every knitter because we all started out needing the basic skills.
